This trip gives you a good way to explore Jinja on a bike: interact with the locals and see how they live, what they eat, and what they grow in their gardens. You’ll get to ride your bike through the beautiful single-track foot paths of Bujagali villagesGet a chance to see how the Wasoga mud and stick homesteads with thatched roofs are made.
Ride deeper into the villages via quiet roads and fields, and learn more about African culture along the way as we head to the view point–Jinja’s highest point. It is a steady hill you, so you work your way to the top with steady gear changes. Your hard work will be rewarded with a panoramic view of all of Jinja Town, Lake Victoria, some islands, and beautiful surroundings. A nice downhill ride will take you back to the main road, along Lake Victoria through Jinja’s old industrial area, back to Jinja Town. You will get to experience riding in town through the main street. This time, we’ll ride back to the starting point, or you may take an optional boat ride to the source of the Nile, then a short ride back to the start.
We provide bikes and helmets. All tours are accompanied by a guide.
