Day 1

Arrive at Explorers Backpackers where we make sure you’re paired with a perfectly sized bike. Then we drive to Kayunga Road where we start riding our bikes on a back route through the villages and sugar cane plantations to get to the forest centre (the aim is to avoid the highway). We will spend the night at the camping area in the forest or the bandas.

Day 2

After breakfast, we get on our bikes and ride more through the villages deep into the forest’s pure single tracks, this time with a short visit to Griffins Falls. After we ride to the lookout deep in the forest, we make a nice circuit back to the forest camp for late lunch. In the evening we drive to the forest lodge for dinner and a campfire, the back to the camp for the evening for tea by the campfire at our camp.

Day 3

In the early morning after a nice breakfast under the trees, we hop on our bikes again through sugar cane fields through the back old Kampala Road all the way to Jinja via the Source of the Nile gardens whereby we get a chance to have a snack while checking out the monument on John Speke where he stood and pointed out the source of the Nile. Then we ride all the way to Nile River Explorers Campsite Bujagali for an overnight stay.

Day 4

Biking in Bujagali village along the Nile, we ride to the Jinja area the viewpoint: a chance to see Lake Victoria and some islands on the highest point in Jinja, and then finish with a visit to the source of the Nile on a boat.

Or optionally; rafting and a sunset cruise and village walk. This is for those who want to experience other activities. White water rafting on the Nile is highly recommended.

Day 5

Drive to Sipi falls, accompanied with a short afternoon ride depending on the time we get there. Our aim is to get to the three famous Sipi falls on a challenging bike ride.

Day 6
