We’ll drive from Jinja or Kampala to the Lake Mburo area. We will get our bikes out and bike through the villages and banana plantations to the park gate. We will then enjoy game viewing with our bikes in the park all the way to the camp next to Lake Mburo with lunch on route.
We will take an early-morning safari walk with a ranger. We’ll have lunch at the camp. Afterwards, there will be an afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo, where we will see hippos, crocodiles, various birds, and more animals drinking water by the lakeshore.
After breakfast at the camp, we will get on our bikes, biking through the national park for more game viewing. We’ll ride to the main gate to head on our way out the park; this time we’ll get onto our support vehicle and drive all the way to Mbarara. We’ll have a local lunch in town, and then continue our drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We’ll do an afternoon bike ride with a ranger through the park to the campsite.
We’ll start with an early-morning game drive, followed by brunch back at the camp. In the afternoon, there will be a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. There will then be a sundowner at the camp to see an amazing sunset over the horizon.
We will take a morning ride to the crater. We will enjoy more game viewing on our bikes, then drive all the way to Jinja or Kampala at the end of the trip.
Optional additional trips: white water rafting in Jinja, or traveling to Sipi Falls or Murchison Falls.
